I commute to campus every day on a cheap fixed gear bike which I modified to fit my needs. I built this bike on a tight budget and was even able to use some salvaged parts which were recovered from a fire at a nearby bike shop. Since I ride the bike year round and store it outside, I work on it quite frequently to keep everything running through midwestern winters.
